Jane is a musical instigator dedicated to the community building power of music and creative collaboration. For over a decade she has led singing and instrumental projects for people aged 9-90 with a focus on contemporary music for both beginners and advanced singers and players. She arranges and writes her own material and is well known for her surprising takes on well-known songs.

She is the founder and musical director of contemporary community choir Just Holler, creative director of Big Feminist Sing, leads RMIT Creative’s Big Sing Thing and uke group Strumming Singers. Her previous roles include conductor of With One Voice Footscray, musical director of Nillumbik Youth Theatre, workshop facilitator at Outer Urban Projects, special programs facilitator for MIND, Community Houses, health centres and day respite programs around Victoria.

Jane is an experienced festival and workshop facilitator and regularly teaches in Regional and metro Victoria, regional Qld and recently all over the world during lockdown. She can also be found leading singing at protest and political actions including with the #Sing4Equality project, Extinction Rebellion, at Reclaim The Night, International Women’s Day events, 16 Days Of Activism and as part of the Climate Choir + collective.

​As a performer Jane has sung with Sue Johnson’s Prana Mob, madrigal ensemble Tierce De Picarde, a capella trio The Northern Belles and every day on Facebook since March during Victoria’s lockdown leading a lunchtime live singalong.
